Gifting season is almost here and if you’re like me, a great many of your friends and family are voracious readers. There’s no better gift than a signed copy of a delicious new book to curl up with. I have two mystery series that are wonderful for gifting!
Available Now: First up, the Shop ‘Round the World series featuring retired Navy pilot Angel Warren and her delightful cast of family, friends, dogs, cats, and her beloved parrot, Ralph (who also solves murders). All three books are available now and can be read in any order, but may I suggest book one, A Santa Stabbing, as your top pick for gifting? The cover is most holiday-ish.
Like some Buffalo (wing) heat with your murder? The Kielbasa Queen mystery series features Lydia Wienewski, the Polish American baker and often butcher who solves murders in 1980s Cheektowaga (Buffalo) New York. No disco ball is spared as this comical yet most intelligent duo figure out cases that stump Detective Harry Nowicki (Grandma’s heartthrob). Fans of Rizzoli and Isles will love Lydia and Grandma’s banter, and Matlock fans will adore Grandma Mary. My dream actor for Grandma Mary? Christine Baranski, of course! Start with book one, The Kielbasa Killer.
